Panama Canal began accepting bookings for Neopanamax

The Panama Canal began accepting bookings for passage of the now designated Neopamax.

Since last Monday, the Panama Canal began accepting bookings for passage of the now designated Neopamax.

With the planned opening of the expansion of the Panama Canal on 26 June and commercial inauguration from the following day, June 27, traffic bookings for the passage are open since last Monday, the first of which was done for the NYK Line tank, the Linden Pride, with a length of 230 m and span of 36.8 m.

DThe biggest ships capable of crossing the new Panama Canal are called Neopanamax, whose limits are 366 m long, a span of 49 m, and a draft of 15.24 m.

So far there have been bookings for 25 crossings to be held between 27 June and 30 September.
