MAEIL e IBM marcaram presença no workshop sobre Sistemas de Informação nos Transportes da APS

The workshop "New Trends in Information Systems in Transports" took place in the APS auditorium on the past 11th, and had as keynote speaker Prof. Tom Zunder, a scholar from the University of Newcastle and a researcher in the field of intermodality who began his career as a production engineer, then logistics manager and implementation of Information Systems in Transports manager.


This event also had a panel of speakers including professionals from various companies such as IBM, Marlo, MAEIL and the APS itself, and this panel presentes the state of the art of current technology solutions for supporting the logistics context and new progress trends of information systems and planned development projects.


As APS reported, collaboration between the different agents and the use of standards in the development of information systems and process automation as critical success factors and cost reduction was the great final focus of this event, which the port community of Sines undertakes in all its initiatives.
