Infra-Estruturas & Transportes - Port of Rotterdam

11 Mar
The construction of the new route will involve an investment of 275 million euros.
The authorities of the Port of Rotterdam announced the redirection, within four kilometers, of the area of the Route ports.

The decision to redirect the route will have a strong impact on the railway line, since it can no longer cross the Caland Bridge.

The goal is to end the successive collisions or traffic jams that regularly occurred between rail and maritime traffic.

According to the international press, the construction of the new route will involve an investment of 275 million euros. Funding for this will come from the Ministry of Infrastructure and Environment (over 100 million euros), the European Union (62 million) and the remainder (about 100 million) will be the responsibility of the Port Authority.
