Decree-Law No. 15/2016 was published yesterday in the Official Gazette, intending to create a common Administration Board for the ports of Lisbon, Setúbal and Sesimbra, in the context of strategic coordination between national ports, as had already been announced by the Minister of Sea, Engineer Ana Paula Vitorino.

The new Administration Board will be composed of a chairman and four members who will hold office in accumulation regime, one of them being appointed by the Metropolitan Council of the Metropolitan Area of ​​Lisbon.

According to the law, the Administration of the Port of Lisbon and the Administration of the Ports of Setúbal and Sesimbra now have 180 days to carry out the reorganization of their respective structures.
